Eng. Ziad H. Al-Musallam is a distinguished corporate leader and technologist with over three decades of expertise in defense electronics and advanced technologies. He serves as the Executive Vice President of Advanced Electronics at SAMI and the President & Chief Executive Officer of SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC). In his role as CEO, Eng. Al-Musallam oversees the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of SAMI-AEC, driving innovation and localization in Saudi Arabia’s defense electronics sector. Throughout his 30-year tenure at SAMI-AEC, Eng. Al-Musallam has demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen. His contributions have been pivotal in advancing the company’s capabilities in the design, development, and production of cutting-edge defense solutions. He also holds prominent leadership positions, including serving as Chairman of Advanced Electronics Support Services Co., the SAMI Thales joint venture (STES), and the SAMI L3Harris joint venture. Moreover, he actively contributes to key industry initiatives, serving as a member of the Advisory Committee for Electrical Engineering at King Saud University and the Board of Trustees at the National Academy of Military Industries. Eng. Al-Musallam earned his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA. He has also completed executive programs at INSEAD and participated in numerous specialized technical and leadership courses.
