Eng. Thamer AlMuhid is the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a PIF Company. AlMuhid brings over 30 years of global leadership experience across transformative industries, integrating operational expertise with visionary leadership to further advance SAMI’s pivotal role in contributing to the localization of the Kingdom ’s defense spending, a core target of Saudi Vision 2030. Recognized for his strategic planning and stakeholder engagement skills, AlMuhid leads the company’s mission to develop cutting-edge technologies, manufacture world-class products and build strategic partnerships. His efforts are instrumental in building a self-sufficient, globally competitive defense ecosystem that supports the Kingdom’s economic diversification goals. Prior to joining SAMI, Eng. Thamer AlMuhid was Group CEO and Managing Director at Saudi Chemical Company Holding, where he led the company's strategic transformation through the establishment of two specialized holding companies. His career spans senior leadership positions at leading Saudi institutions including SABIC, Almarai, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, where his expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, research and development and fostering international partnerships, drove significant organizational growth and transformation. AlMuhid holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from King Saud University and has completed two master’s degrees in Business Administration ,and Merger and Acquisition from Technische Universität Wien in Austria and Thunderbird School of Global Management in the United States.
